Barcelona
It’s not hard to see why the amazing Catalan city of Barcelona is now high on everyone’s list of must-visit destinations. The city has everything, from amazing gothic architecture and energetic street entertainment, to wonderful bars and restaurants, non-stop nightlife, and even a sun-kissed beach.
Second only to Gaudi’s gothic cathedral Sagrada Famillia for popularity, the pedestrian Les Ramblas is one of Barcelona’s true hot-spots. Lined with dozens of outdoor cafes, it also has an abundance of stalls and kiosks, plus some amazing street entertainment including jugglers, singers, dancers, puppeteers and more. It’s breathtaking, and really does have to be seen to be believed.

A holiday in Gran Canaria is possible all year round due to the warm, dry climate during both the summer and winter months. It is one of the more developed Canary Islands and also the most beautiful scenically, with the golden sand dunes of the south and the lush vegetation and forests of the north.
The Gran Canarian capital of Las Palmas is located in the northeast; a traditional bustling Spanish city full of life and beautiful colonial architecture.
Madrid
Madrid is best known for its ‘Golden Triangle’ of art museums - Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen-Bornomisza. The celebrated Paseo del Arte (Art Walk) links all three.
The city’s focal point remains the Puerta del Sol - the eastern puerta (gate) of the city during the 15th century. The monument of the bear and madroño (strawberry tree), in the centre of the square, symbolises Madrid.
The Calle Mayor leads west from Sol, to the Plaza Mayor, which evokes the splendour of Spain’s 17th-century Golden Age.

Holidays to Ibiza are best between May and October, with the busiest period being July and August when revellers, families and couples descend upon the small Balearic Island.
Seville
Seville is quintessential Spain. Although the architecture is a layered blend of Christian and Moorish styles, those clichés that are most associated with Spain are all to be found huddled in Andalucia’s compact capital. From flamenco to fiestas and tapas to bullfights, here you’ll find the biggest and the best.
’Romantic’, ’flamboyant’, ’intriguing’ and ’embracing’ - these are all words that have been used to describe Seville, but so have ’wild’ (think bullfights and frenzied flamenco), ’reserved’, ’conspicuous’ and ’insular’.
Valencia
Frequently touted as the ‘New Barcelona', Spain's third largest metropolis is now one of the hottest tickets in the European city break market. A short hop from the resorts of the Costa Blanca to the south and serviced by a large number of low-cost airlines, its transformation has been led by two huge projects.
