Holidays in Kalamaki, Zante

The dark coloured Kalamaki sands are a welcome setting for your holiday in Zante. Less than 10 mins from the airport, Kalamaki has a selection of shops, cafes, tavernas and restaurants serving Greek, international and British food. The holiday resort is mainly geared towards couples and families with few lively bars for the young and a hilltop disco. Most of the nightlife centres around Laganas which is just a 5 minute ride by bus or taxi.

The Kalamaki resort features a stunning backdrop of Mt. Skopos with its citrus and olive groves and scenic countryside. Kalamaki beach slopes gently into the sea, with some impressive rock formations, and is a favourite nesting ground for loggerhead turtles. Several tracks lead from the village down to the favoured nesting site at the back of the beach. Visitors are asked to stick to the shoreline to protect the nest sites.
