Turgutreis has a traditional centre with plenty of excellent hotels, apartments, restaurants and bars, and is the ideal choice for a family holiday in Turkey. The town has a lively market on Saturday’s selling pottery, leather goods, clothing and local food produce. Historic Kadikalesi is just four kilometres north along the coast from Turgutreis and is worth visiting for more excellent beaches and breath-taking scenery typical of the region.
