Overview

A small architectural jewel in the heart of Rome, the Donna Camilla Savelli hotel, was created from a 17th century convent. A corner of tranquillity in the heart of the Trastevere, the Donna Camilla Savelli lies at the foot of the Granicolo Hill. After an immaculate restoration, with respect both to the architectural criteria of the Baroque period and of the original project of Borromini, the convent has been transformed into a four star hotel.
The roof garden of the Donna Camilla Savelli bestows almost the impression of travelling back in time through the centuries. In the centre is positioned a fountain, also from the Baroque period. And radiating out from the fountain is an immaculate garden, well tended in every detail, an ideal location for receptions and exclusive events or simply the place to enjoy a relaxing moment with a book.
The cloister, the refectory, the entrance and communal areas, all conceived by Borromini recalling the classic antiquity and the atmosphere of the Adriana Villa in Tivoli, make the Donna Camilla Savelli a unique entity in the landscape of Italian hotels.
